Kenya Showcases Digital Border Security at London Expo

Date:

LONDON, UK — Kenya is advancing its border management systems with a focus on security, efficiency, and technology-driven solutions, Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen said during the Passenger Terminal Expo & Conference 2026 in London.

The expo, a leading global forum for governments, airports, airlines, aviation authorities, and technology innovators, provided a platform to explore emerging trends in aviation, digital border management, and international travel facilitation.

Discussions focused on leveraging technology to enhance security while improving passenger experience and operational efficiency at borders.

CS Murkomen emphasized that these engagements are vital as Kenya modernizes its border management architecture, strengthens national security, and advances its digital transformation agenda across the aviation sector.

During the event, the Kenyan delegation was hosted by David Lavorel, Chief Executive Officer of SITA, and Pedro Alves, Senior Vice President – Borders, alongside other global aviation and technology leaders.
