ARUSHA, Tanzania – The African Union Advisory Board against Corruption (AUABC) has announced the postponement of the 8th African Anti-Corruption Dialogue.
The event was originally scheduled to take place from July 9 to 10, 2024, at the Kenyatta International Conference Centre in Nairobi, Kenya.
The postponement comes amidst logistical challenges and a commitment to enhancing stakeholder engagement.
The AUABC emphasized its dedication to providing a platform for advancing regional efforts to combat corruption and promote good governance across the African continent.
“We express our gratitude to the Government of Kenya for their continued support and partnership in planning these significant gatherings,” the AUABC stated.
“We remain committed to rescheduling the events at a later date to provide a platform for stakeholder engagement on advancing regional efforts to combat corruption and promote good governance across the African continent.”
In the meantime, the AUABC will host a virtual event on July 11th, 2024, to commemorate African Anti-Corruption Day.
The virtual event will focus on the theme: “Effective Whistleblower Protection Mechanism: A Critical Tool in the Fight against Corruption.”
The AUABC reiterated its commitment to announcing the new dates for the 8th African Anti-Corruption Dialogue soon.
They expressed deep appreciation for the Government of Kenya’s unwavering support in combating corruption and promoting good governance.
