NAIROBI, Kenya — The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party has announced a Special National Governing Council (NGC) meeting set for Monday, January 26, 2026, at 8:00 AM at State House, Nairobi.
The meeting will bring together all UDA elected leaders, including Governors, Deputy Governors, Senators, Members of the National Assembly, Women Representatives, Representatives to the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA), and Members of County Assemblies (MCAs), alongside nominated party officials.
The session will be chaired by Party Leader and President William Samoei Ruto, according to a statement from the party.
“We shall review our performance as a party in ensuring we have implemented our party’s manifesto,” UDA Secretary General Hassan Omar said during a press conference.
The National Governing Council is the party’s top decision-making body, responsible for guiding strategy, policy, and key organisational decisions.
Special meetings are convened to address urgent matters or to provide direction on upcoming political or legislative priorities.
Party officials have not disclosed the specific agenda items for the January 26 meeting, but it is expected to address internal coordination and strategic planning ahead of the 2027 general elections.
