NAIROBI, Kenya- President William Ruto has condemned the attack that led to the death of Principal Magistrate of the Makadara Courts Monica Kivuti.
He described her demise as “unacceptable” and something that should never happen again.
“The confrontation, threats, or attacks of any form against judicial officers are unacceptable, criminal, and an affront to the rule of law,” he said.
He assured them of their security as they discharge their mandate. The Head of State reiterated that the police exist to ensure reliable security for Kenyans.
He urged the police to remain faithful to their oath of service.
“Under no circumstances should they abandon this essential obligation or ever turn from their duty of protection and become threats to the safety and security of the people,” he added.
In his message of condolence, President Ruto said the country had lost a firm and hardworking judicial professional who served Kenyans with dedication.
“May the Almighty God grant you strength to bear this loss,” he said.
