NAIROBI, Kenya- TLcom Capital has announced the return of its Africa Tech Female Founder Summit, set to take place on October 15th in Nairobi.
Known as the continent’s largest gathering of women tech entrepreneurs, the summit will bring together Africa’s brightest female minds in tech for a day of networking, learning, and inspiration.
Applications for participation are now open, offering founders a chance to be part of this transformational event.
This year’s summit will explore the theme “Transformative Leadership: Redefining Success in Tech.” The focus will be on how female founders can reshape leadership in the tech world, emphasizing the critical role of strategic partnerships in scaling businesses.
The event promises to unite and inspire founders by showcasing stories of resilience and innovation from some of Africa’s most successful tech leaders.
Among the speakers are Nelly Chatue-Diop (Ejara), Nneile Nkholise (Thola), Rasha Rady (Chefaa), and Sneha Mehta (Uncover), all of whom have blazed their own trails in the tech industry.
Additionally, the summit will feature hands-on workshops covering essential skills such as budgeting, key performance indicator (KPI) design, and growth strategies.
Leading these sessions will be Daisy Liech of TLcom and Wandia Gichuru of Vivo, ensuring attendees leave with practical insights to apply directly to their businesses.
A major highlight of the summit is the opportunity for pre-selected startups to pitch their ventures to Africa’s top investors.
With investors like Yemi Keri from Rising Tide Africa and Joyce-Anne Wainai from Chui Ventures in attendance, founders will have the chance to gather invaluable feedback and potentially secure funding for their businesses.
TLcom Capital itself manages about $300 million in assets, with investments in African startups such as Andela, Autochek, Fairmoney, and Ilara Health.
Omobola Johnson, Senior Partner at TLcom Capital, noted the summit’s relevance in today’s challenging tech landscape.
“After navigating one of the toughest years for the tech ecosystem, founders now face a completely new landscape. Capital is still scarce, and investors are increasingly pushing entrepreneurs to build, move to profitability faster, and scale,” Johnson said.
This Summit will highlight the high-performance qualities that will empower female founders to rise to the forefront as industry leaders in this demanding environment,” Johnson added.
As the tech industry evolves, women leaders are redefining what it means to succeed.
