CS Muturi Pledges Reforms to Boost Huduma Centre Service Delivery

Date:

KISUMU, Kenya – Public Service and Human Capital Development Cabinet Secretary Justin Muturi has committed to addressing persistent challenges in service delivery at Huduma Centres across the country, beginning with Kisumu.

During a recent visit to the Kisumu Huduma Centre, Muturi acknowledged both progress and gaps in the system, vowing swift action to improve efficiency and ensure seamless services for Kenyans.

“While we are making great strides, there are still areas that require immediate attention,” Muturi said. “We are working to resolve these issues, so Kenyans can continue to experience smooth and efficient service delivery.”

Muturi emphasized the need to elevate service standards at Huduma Centres nationwide, calling it essential for building a more efficient and accountable public service.

“Our goal is to raise the bar across all Huduma Centres as we strive for a more effective public service that is responsive to citizens’ needs,” he remarked.

A key focus of his address was the importance of a customer-centric approach.

Muturi urged Huduma Kenya staff to serve with enthusiasm and compassion, ensuring that every Kenyan is treated with dignity and respect during service delivery.

“I encouraged Huduma Kenya officers across the country to offer service with a smile, passion, and courtesy,” he added, stressing the significance of professionalism in maintaining public trust.

Muturi was accompanied by Principal Secretary for Public Service Amos Gathecha, Huduma Kenya CEO Ben Kai, Kisumu County Commissioner Benson Leparmorijo, and other senior officials.

The visit is part of ongoing government efforts to assess and enhance service delivery across public service outlets nationwide.
