NAIROBI, Kenya — Kenya Airways has announced the return to service of one of its aircraft following the successful completion of a comprehensive 6C maintenance check, a detailed heavy inspection, and a scheduled landing gear replacement.
In a statement on X, the airline said the maintenance work was part of a phased return to service programme for aircraft that had been temporarily grounded to undergo essential servicing.
The aircraft has now completed all required checks and upgrades and has resumed operations with its first post‑maintenance flights, strengthening Kenya Airways’ capacity across its mid‑ to long‑haul network.
The airline noted that the return to service will enhance operational reliability and help deliver a more consistent travel experience for customers.
Kenya Airways emphasised that safety and maintenance remain core priorities in its fleet management strategy.
“We are pleased to announce the return to service of one of our aircraft,” the airline said, adding that the aircraft will now support its expanding network and schedule.
