NAIROBI, Kenya – The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has announced a planned shutdown of the Integrated Customs Management System (ICMS) to allow for a major system upgrade aimed at improving performance and service delivery.
In a public notice, KRA said the scheduled maintenance will run for 36 hours, starting Saturday, February 7, 2026 at 6:00pm and ending Monday, February 9, 2026 at 6:00am.
The maintenance will affect all users of the ICMS platform, including partner government agencies, importers, exporters, clearing agents, shipping lines, and members of the public who rely on the system for customs-related transactions.
According to KRA, the upgrade is expected to enhance transaction processing, improve system response times, and deliver a more reliable user experience for customs operations.
Please be advised that there will be a scheduled maintenance of iCMS from Saturday 7th February, 2026, 6:00 PM to Monday 9th February, 2026, 6:00 AM. We regret any inconvenience caused.
To minimise disruption, stakeholders have been advised to submit all urgent declarations, complete payments in advance, and prioritise the clearance of perishable and time-sensitive consignments before the maintenance window begins on Saturday evening.
KRA said customer support services will remain available throughout the maintenance period via its official communication channels, including social media, phone, and email.
The authority apologised for any inconvenience the temporary shutdown may cause and thanked stakeholders for their cooperation as it works to improve service efficiency.
