M-Kopa Names Former Nokia CEO Rajeev Suri as New Board Chair

NAIROBI, Kenya- M-Kopa, the innovative solar power and fintech company, has tapped Rajeev Suri, the former CEO of Nokia, as its new board chair, effective December 1, 2024. 

The appointment comes as M-Kopa continues to expand its reach, delivering financial solutions to underbanked populations in emerging markets.

Suri, who also serves as Chairman of Digicel and a board director at Singtel, brings a wealth of global leadership experience. 

His role at M-Kopa will focus on providing strategic oversight and guidance as the company looks to accelerate its growth.

Rajeev Suri is no stranger to guiding companies through transformative phases. His experience steering Nokia through international expansion is exactly what M-Kopa hopes to leverage as it continues its journey of innovation.
