NAIROBI, Kenya-Qatar Airways has unveiled its expanded winter flight schedule for 2025, significantly increasing frequencies to more than 15 destinations worldwide.
The move is part of the airline’s ongoing strategy to enhance global connectivity through its hub at Hamad International Airport, recently voted the Best Airport in the Middle East.
One of the key highlights is the airline’s record-breaking service to London Heathrow, which will now operate up to 10 daily flightsits highest frequency ever on this route.
This is in addition to British Airways’ double daily service, offering travellers unprecedented access between Doha and London.
Qatar Airways Chief Commercial Officer, Thierry Antinori, said the demand for the airline’s services continues to rise across major cities.
“Qatar Airways is consistently witnessing a steady rise in demand for our 5-star services to some of the most prominent destinations in the world, most notably for London, Dublin, Cape Town, and São Paulo,” he said.
Antinori also noted that Virgin Australia will launch new flights from Melbourne to Doha this winter, increasing the number of daily connections between the two cities to three.
The airline will also resume services to Canberra, reinforcing its commitment to the Australian market.
As part of the winter expansion, Qatar Airways will increase flights to several cities including more frequent services to Abu Dhabi, Berlin, Frankfurt, Cape Town, Dublin, Johannesburg, Madrid, Manchester, Maldives, Phuket, São Paulo, Sharjah, Tokyo Narita, and Toronto.
Casablanca will also see an increase from four to five weekly flights.
Beyond expanded routes, Qatar Airways is upgrading the passenger experience by equipping its fleet with high-speed Starlink Wi-Fi.
Currently, 54 Boeing 777 aircraft are fitted with the technology, providing gate-to-gate internet speeds of up to 500 Mbps for all passengers.
The airline is the first in the world to fully operate over 50 widebody aircraft with this connectivity and remains the only carrier in the MENA region offering it for free in both Premium and Economy cabins.
The Airbus A350 fleet is set to be equipped with the service by next year.
