NAIROBI, Kenya – The Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), Renson Ingonga CBS, OGW, presided over the signing of a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today with the Nuclear Power and Energy Agency (NuPEA) aimed at strengthening collaboration in tackling nuclear-related offences.
The agreement establishes a formal partnership to enhance inter-agency cooperation, particularly in identifying, investigating, and prosecuting emerging and complex crimes linked to nuclear energy as Kenya advances its nuclear power programme.
Under the MoU, the DPP’s office and NuPEA will engage in joint trainings, capacity-building initiatives, and structured engagement frameworks to ensure effective coordination between prosecutors and nuclear energy experts.
