Joe Mfalme Quietly Marries Longtime Partner in Private Ceremony

Popular radio presenter and deejay Joe Mfalme has revealed that he quietly married his longtime partner in a private ceremony, choosing to keep the union away from the public eye following one of the most turbulent periods of his life.

Speaking in a recent interview, Mfalme said the decision to marry secretly was deliberate, coming just two months after his release from police custody in connection with the high-profile death of a senior police officer in 2024.

At the time, the case attracted intense public scrutiny and media attention, thrusting the entertainer into the spotlight for reasons far removed from his career.

“I didn’t waste time,” Mfalme said, explaining that once he regained his freedom and clarity, he moved quickly to formalise his relationship.

The wedding was conducted privately, with even close family members initially unaware that the couple had tied the knot.

According to the media personality, both his parents and his wife’s parents only learned of the marriage later, after he sent them a copy of the marriage certificate.

The low-key approach, he noted, was meant to protect his family and allow the couple to begin married life without external pressure.

The revelation comes years after Mfalme endured an arrest and detention linked to the death of DCI officer Inspector Felix Kelian Kitosi, who succumbed to injuries after an altercation in Kikuyu, Kiambu County.

Mfalme, alongside members of his team, was initially arrested and held as investigators pieced together the events surrounding the incident.

After spending close to two weeks in custody, the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) dropped murder charges against him and several others, later designating them as state witnesses in the ongoing case.

Prosecutors subsequently identified another suspect as the primary responsible party, allowing Mfalme to resume his life and career.

Reflecting on that period, the radio host described the experience as deeply unsettling, admitting it forced him to reassess his priorities.

The decision to marry, he said, was rooted in a desire for stability and emotional grounding after months of uncertainty.

Adding to the personal milestone, Mfalme also confirmed that he and his wife have welcomed a baby girl, who is now about two months old.

The proud father said fatherhood has brought renewed purpose, calling his daughter a source of healing after the storm he weathered in 2024.

“She looks like both of us,” he said, smiling, as he spoke about adjusting to life as a new parent while rebuilding his professional life.

His secret wedding, he explained, symbolised a fresh chapter — one defined less by public opinion and more by personal peace.

“After everything, I just wanted something that was mine,” he said.
