Comedian‑turned‑philanthropist Eric Omondi has kicked off one of his most ambitious charity initiatives yet — a multi‑day walk from Nairobi to Mombasa aimed at raising funds for vulnerable Kenyans and community support projects.
The journey, which began on February 10, 2026, at Nyayo National Stadium, has already captured public attention and drawn support as crowds join him along the way.
Dubbed the“Walk of Love,” Omondi’s trek spans an extraordinary 486 kilometres — roughly the distance between Kenya’s capital and its coastal city.
His goal is to complete the walk in four days, arriving at Mama Ngina Waterfront Park in Mombasa on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2026.
Omondi is undertaking this journey to raise money and awareness for the construction of the Sisi Kwa Sisi Help and Rescue Centre, a planned facility that will include two ambulances, a warehouse, a clinic and a free secondary school to serve vulnerable communities.
In a video shared on his social media platforms before the walk began, the entertainer explained that the centre has already handled more than 200 cases over two years, but more support is needed to expand its reach. He appealed to Kenyans and well‑wishers to contribute “whatever they can” to help fund the project.
The walk began at Nyayo National Stadium, where Omondi set off early on Tuesday, determined to begin each day with clear purpose.
Though this is a grueling physical effort — covering more than 100km per day — Omondi’s energy and resolve has been bolstered by supporters who keep joining him on parts of the route.
Videos posted live on platforms like TikTok and Instagram show people walking alongside him, cheering him on, and creating a supportive atmosphere that helps fuel his progress.
The crowds are expected to bring both encouragement and visibility to the cause.
In many towns and counties along the way, local supporters will line up to see him, take photos, and even walk short distances with him, transforming what could have been a solitary journey into something more communal.
Over the years, Omondi has become known not just for his comedy but for his activism and fundraising through the Team Sisi Kwa Sisi initiative.
Through this platform, he has supported vulnerable families, helped pay hospital bills, and rallied Kenyans to contribute to humanitarian causes.
For example, earlier this year he shared the progress of a boy who had been confined in a cage for years before rescue, celebrating the child’s development and thanking supporters who contributed to his care.
The route 486 kmtakes Omondi through changing weather conditions, long hours on the road, and the physical strain that such distance inevitably brings.
