NAIROBI, Kenya- Kenyan musicians have begun releasing and announcing songs in honour of the late opposition leader Raila Odinga, whose death in India has drawn widespread mourning across the region.
Ohangla star Prince Indah was among the first to confirm a musical tribute, announcing a special release titled ‘Wuod Oganda, Amolo 3 in 1.‘
The track, set to premiere on Thursday morning, is dedicated to Odinga’s legacy and his lifelong influence on Kenyan politics and culture.
Indah, known for his deep Luo lyrical style, described the song as a personal farewell to a leader who inspired generations and united communities.

Gospel and pop musician Bahati — who previously featured Odinga in his 2022 hit ‘Fire‘— has shared condolence messages online, with a commemorative project following thereafter titled Bye Bye Baba
Musician Bahati has political ambitions and he previously vied unsuccessfully for the Mathare Parliamentary seat and still wishes to vie come next elections 2027.
