NAIROBI, Kenya – The family of Foreign Affairs Principal Secretary Dr Korir Sing’Oei is in mourning following the death of his father, Mzee John Kibiego Ole Sing’Oei, after a short illness.
Prime Cabinet Secretary and Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi announced the passing on Thursday evening through a condolence message shared on his official X account.
Mudavadi described the loss as profound, noting that a father’s influence shapes the direction and conviction of those he leaves behind.
“A father’s presence shapes our direction, anchors our confidence, and gives meaning to the everyday journey of life,” he said, adding that Mzee Sing’Oei was a man whose humility, wisdom and integrity touched many beyond his immediate family.

According to Mudavadi, the late patriarch embodied calm strength and moral clarity, mentoring many through his generosity, faith and service.
“His humility and kindness touched countless lives, leaving a mark that will not fade with time,” Mudavadi noted.
He said the values Mzee Sing’Oei lived by would continue to echo across generations.
“His influence and the lessons he imparted will continue to shine through future generations,” he added.
Mudavadi extended condolences on behalf of the Office of the Prime Cabinet Secretary and the Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs, celebrating the legacy of a man he said inspired many through his character and commitment to community.
The family is expected to announce funeral arrangements in the coming days.
