Gladys Wanga Gives Update on Oburu Oginga’s Recovery

Date:

NAIROBI, Kenya- Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga says Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Oburu Oginga is in high spirits and recovering steadily.

Wanga said she visited the Siaya Senator on Tuesday evening.

“My PL Dr Oburu is recovering steadily. I was with him this evening and he is in high spirits. We continue to pray for his full recovery,” she said.

Her update follows renewed public concern about Oginga’s health.

ODM communications director Philip Etale said Tuesday that Oginga had visited Nairobi Hospital for a routine check-up and was well.

Etale said he had spoken with Oginga and that the party leader would take a break from active political engagements for the next few weeks.

Oginga returned to Kenya on September 25 after travelling to the United Kingdom for a medical review and rest, according to reports at the time.
