KMTC March 2026 Intake Open: Apply Online for Certificate & Diploma Courses via KUCCPS

Date:

NAIROBI, Kenya — The Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) has officially opened applications for its March 2026 intake, with the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) inviting eligible students to apply for both certificate and diploma programmes.

In a notice released on Wednesday, KUCCPS announced that the application window will run from January 7 to January 27, 2026, and all applications must be submitted online through the KUCCPS student portal at students.kuccps.ac.ke.

Applicants are required to log in using their academic credentials.

“Applications for the KMTC March 2026 intake are now open,” KUCCPS stated.

Candidates seeking certificate courses must have attained at least a C– (minus) in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) and meet programme-specific cluster subject requirements.

For diploma courses, applicants must hold a C (plain) or higher, alongside relevant cluster qualifications.

KMTC, one of Kenya’s leading public institutions for training middle-level health professionals, offers programmes in nursing, clinical medicine, medical laboratory sciences, pharmacy, public health, nutrition and dietetics, health records and information technology, and community health.

The college has multiple campuses nationwide, serving as a critical pillar in the country’s healthcare training system.

The March intake is ideal for students who may have missed earlier admission cycles, those seeking to upgrade from certificate to diploma level, or candidates aiming to join the health sector through mid-year admissions.

KUCCPS, which coordinates government-sponsored student placements in universities, colleges, and training institutions, ensures that the process is conducted transparently and equitably, aligning placements with national education priorities.

The service encourages applicants to make informed choices based on their academic qualifications and career goals.
