Mama Rachel Ruto Urges Unity, Faith and Compassion in New Year Message to Kenyans

Date:

ELDORET, Kenya – First Lady Mama Rachel Ruto has called on Kenyans to embrace unity, faith and compassion as the country ushered in 2026, saying national progress is built on resilience and shared purpose.

In her New Year message issued on January 1, 2026, Mama Rachel expressed gratitude to God and reflected on 2025 as a year in which the nation continued to grow in strength despite facing various challenges.

She praised Kenyans for standing together as families, communities and as one nation, noting that unity and hope remained the country’s strongest pillars.

“Every step forward has been a reminder that when we trust in the Lord, He establishes our path. I thank God for the resilience of Kenyans, for the progress we have made together, and for the spirit of compassion that continues to bind us,” she said.

The First Lady said the past year demonstrated the power of collective resolve, adding that Kenyans consistently chose empathy and solidarity even in difficult moments.

Looking ahead to 2026, Mama Rachel prayed for wisdom, peace and renewed strength for the nation, urging citizens to remain committed to building a caring, just and prosperous country for all.

“Happy New Year 2026, and may God bless our nation,” she said.

Her message echoed similar New Year goodwill messages from leaders across the country, including President William Ruto, as Kenyans marked the start of a new year with optimism and renewed hope.
