NAIROBI, Kenya – The National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) today hosted a delegation from the United States’ Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) to introduce the Chemical Security Program (CSP) and explore collaborative opportunities with NEMA and partner agencies.
The discussions highlighted NEMA’s pivotal role in regulating hazardous chemicals, including licensing, enforcement, disposal of chemical waste, and implementing measures to address Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) risks to protect public health and the environment.
