Trump Says Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei Is Dead

Date:

WASHINGTON / Middle East- In a dramatic escalation of the Middle East crisis, U.S. President Donald Trump has publicly declared that Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of Iran, is dead, calling the development “justice” for victims of the Iranian regime and its actions over decades.

The announcement came amid ongoing military operations involving the United States and Israel against strategic targets inside Iran’s borders.

In a social media post on Truth Social, Trump wrote:

“Khamenei, one of the most evil people in History, is dead. This is not only Justice for the people of Iran, but for all Great Americans, and those people from many Countries throughout the World, that have been killed or mutilated by Khamenei and his gang of bloodthirsty THUGS.”

Trump framed the killing of Khamenei as a turning point in the effort to weaken Iran’s hardline leadership, saying the strike was deliberate and targeted.

He also encouraged elements within Iran’s security forces to defect or seek immunity as the conflict unfolded.

Military Operation and Aftermath

Israeli officials have asserted that a coordinated U.S.–Israeli military strike, part of what has been described as Operation Epic Fury, successfully hit Khamenei’s residence and other high‑value targets in Tehran, and that his body was recovered from the site.

They also say that numerous senior military commanders were killed in the assault.

Iranian state media and government representatives have vehemently denied the reports, insisting that Khamenei remains alive and in charge, and calling opposing claims propaganda and psychological warfare.

Regional Tensions Surge

Iran has responded to the military strikes with missile and drone attacks against Israeli territory and U.S. forces stationed across the region, heightening fears of a wide‑scale conflict.

The strikes have disrupted global oil markets and prompted urgent calls for calm from the United Nations, France, and other world powers.

World leaders have issued mixed responses, some backing de‑escalation and diplomatic solutions, others condemning the strikes and demanding respect for Iranian sovereignty.
