NPSC Chairman Candidate Collapses and Dies Moments Before Interview

Date:

NAIROBI, Kenya – A tragic incident unfolded on Tuesday at the Public Service Commission (PSC) offices in Nairobi when Komora Mubadi Jilo, a candidate for the position of chairman of the National Police Service Commission (NPSC), collapsed and died just moments before his scheduled interview.

Jilo was among four shortlisted candidates waiting to face the selection panel for the prestigious position.

He reportedly collapsed while awaiting his turn at the PSC offices along Harambee Avenue.

The unexpected death left officials and fellow candidates in shock. Emergency measures were taken at the venue, but Jilo could not be saved.

His body has since been moved to a mortuary, where a postmortem examination will be conducted to determine the cause of death.

The selection panel and relevant authorities have yet to announce how this tragic incident will impact the ongoing interview process for the NPSC chairmanship.

The role of the NPSC chairman is critical in overseeing police reforms, officer welfare, and ensuring accountability within the National Police Service.

Further updates are awaited as investigations and procedural adjustments continue.
