President Ruto Vows to Act on Youth Proposals, Calls for Unity and Respect

NAIROBI, Kenya -President William Ruto has announced his commitment to implementing several recommendations made by the youth of Kenya.

Speaking at a meeting with representatives from Digital Media Houses at State House, Nairobi, President Ruto expressed his appreciation for the input provided by young Kenyans and outlined his plan to act on their suggestions.

“I value what you do. I have heard what you have said, I have seen what you have done, and you have made recommendations,” President Ruto stated.

Highlighting his intent to act on feasible suggestions, he mentioned specific steps such as reducing government spending and trimming down unnecessary offices.

“Some, I will outright implement on cutting down on government and cutting down on offices that we can,” he affirmed.

Acknowledging the challenges posed by some of the youth’s recommendations, President Ruto emphasized the need for continued dialogue.

He announced plans to meet with young leaders later in the week to discuss the best ways to tackle these issues.

“You have given me some difficult choices. I will suggest to you how we can together go about the difficult choices you have put on the table,” he said.

President Ruto urged young people to come prepared with clear, actionable suggestions for the upcoming engagement.

He stressed the importance of mutual respect and lawful conduct during these discussions.

“My request to you is that we have a country to keep. It is the only home we have, and we must do whatever it is that we do within the parameters of the law, respecting one another and talking to one another with respect so that we can move forward together as a country,” he remarked.

The President’s message underscored his administration’s dedication to fostering a collaborative environment where the voices of young Kenyans are heard and valued.

“I am looking forward to this engagement,” President Ruto concluded.
