How to Unsubscribe From Safaricom SKIZA Tunes

Date:

SKIZA is a personalized ringback tone service by Safaricom where people download or record a SKIZA message at a fee. Subscribers are charged Sh. 1.50 daily for every tune they place.

The daily charges are renewed automatically at midnight. In case your account has insufficient funds, the SKIZA tune is suspended until you top up the airtime.

Although you can purchase the SKIZA tunes using Okoa Jahazi, Bonga points cannot be used to purchase the tunes.

Safaricom often publishes a catalog of all the tunes in the SKIZA tunes system through song code, artist, and SKIZA tune name in the local press or websites.

The selected SKIZA tune is played to and heard by your callers from when the connection to your line is made until when you receive or disconnect the call.

Skiza can also be played to and heard by the subscribers when making calls to Safaricom subscribers and those on other networks.

Although SKIZA tunes enable one to create a unique soundtrack reflecting their personality, subscribers may at some point want to delete them to cut costs or subscribe to other tunes.

When unsubscribing from Safaricom Skiza Tunes follow the following steps:

  • Dial *811#
  • Select manage tunes.
  • Select SKIZA tunes.
  • Choose SKIZA tunes to delete.
  • Select delete.

Alternatively, subscribers can send an SMS to 811 to have their SKIZA tunes deleted. They should send the word DELETE together with the SKIZA code of the tune to be deleted to 811. For instance; DELETE 1234567 to 811.
