“I Gave Him My Blessings to Re-Marry”: Sarah Mtalii Declares Final Goodbye to Simon Kabu

In yet another explosive interview, Bonfire Adventures co-founder Sarah Mtalii has made it clear—she is done with her estranged husband, Simon Kabu.

“We are not back together,” she stated firmly, during an emotional sit-down with TUKO.co.ke.

This was after the two went to Tanzania together for an award ceremony.

“We are both co-directors at Bonfire Adventures. We were pushing destination Dar-es-Salaam, but that’s it,” she explained.

Her response follows weeks of online speculation, largely fueled by bloggers who suggested a possible reunion between the once high-profile couple. But Mtalii is adamant that chapter is closed.

“When bloggers decided to push the narrative we have reunited, I started to write a final letter to him,” she revealed.

“I told him that for me, I have moved on. I will never come back. I gave him my blessings to remarry.”

In the same letter, which she wrote on July 1, 2025, Mtalii also expressed her hopes for a peaceful future for their children.

“I told him that I pray he can get a God-fearing woman who can be able to handle my kids well when they visit,” she shared.

Their divorce, she explained, had reached an advanced stage. “We both knew that it was over. It was just a few days until our divorce hearing. And that is when I saw the content of the divorce trending online.”

She didn’t hide how difficult the process has been.

Still, she says, society often ignores a woman’s pain and pushes her to reconcile—without knowing the story behind her decision.

“It is very hard to go through a divorce,” Mtalii said. “When you see a woman fold her bags and leave her home, it is not easy. You don’t know what she has been through.”

“They don’t know why I left, but some have even the audacity to ask me to go back to my house,” she said.

“You try even to explain and share some videos of what made you leave your marriage, but they’re still like they are praying for your reunion.”

She recalls one particular moment that left her shaken.

“There is a day I stopped someone from praying,” she said, her voice heavy with conviction. “I feel it is God who saved me. I could be somewhere rotting. But now that I am alive, I want to live my true life.”

Mtalii says she is choosing herself and embracing a new beginning.

“I want God to use me as a vessel—that there is a God of second chances,” she said. “A chaotic marriage does not make you whole. I am happy, I am reborn, and I am thriving.”
