DUBAI, United Arab Emirates — Dubai Airports has confirmed a limited resumption of operations beginning this evening, March 2, with a small number of flights permitted to operate from Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC).
In an advisory issued Monday, the airport operator emphasized that only selected flights will depart as operations gradually resume following earlier disruptions.
Travellers have been strongly advised not to proceed to DXB or DWC unless they have been contacted directly by their airline with a confirmed departure time.
Passenger Advisory
Dubai Airports warned that access to terminals will be restricted to confirmed passengers. Those without official communication from their airline may be denied entry in order to manage congestion and ensure safety.
Passengers are urged to:
- Check flight status directly with their airline.
- Monitor official airport and airline communication channels.
- Avoid travelling to the airport without confirmation.
- Allow extra time for processing once operations normalize.
Authorities did not specify the total number of flights expected to operate during the initial phase but indicated that operations would scale gradually depending on conditions.
Operational Phasing
The limited restart suggests a phased return to full capacity at both DXB, one of the world’s busiest international hubs, and DWC, which handles cargo and selected passenger services.
Airlines operating from Dubai are expected to notify affected passengers individually regarding rebooking, rescheduling, or updated departure times.
Further updates are anticipated as the situation stabilizes, and additional flights are cleared for operation.
