SEATTLE, U.S. – Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP) leader and former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has launched the party’s first satellite office in the United States, signaling a renewed effort to strengthen his political base among the Kenyan diaspora.
The new North Pacific Chapter Satellite Office was unveiled on Monday, July 14, in Seattle, Washington, marking a significant milestone in Gachagua’s post-deputy presidency political rebranding.
“We are now expanding our presence with our very first satellite office in Seattle,” Gachagua posted on his official X account. “This new office will strengthen our efforts, foster greater engagement, and bring our initiatives closer to the people of Seattle and the surrounding areas.”
The launch comes just days after Gachagua began a two-month tour of the United States—his first official overseas trip since he was ousted from office in October 2024.
He departed Kenya on July 9, with planned stops in Dallas, California, Boston, and Baltimore for a series of town hall meetings and diaspora engagements.

“The insights and honesty shared by Kenyans living abroad are invaluable,” he said. “Their voice is critical in shaping the country’s future.”
Photos shared from the event showed Gachagua interacting with supporters and posing alongside Kenyan nationals living in the U.S., underscoring his efforts to rebuild political networks beyond Kenya’s borders.
The DCP leader is expected to use the tour to rally support for his party’s growing platform ahead of the 2027 general elections, positioning himself as a viable alternative to the current political establishment.
