NAIROBI, Kenya – Ida Odinga has been recognized with a prestigious international award for her contributions to education, particularly in advancing opportunities for young girls.
The Human Achievers Foundation (H.A.F) bestowed upon her the “Pride of Kenya” honorary title, citing her dedication to education and empowerment.
A former teacher, Ida received a lifetime achievement award from the foundation, which annually recognizes individuals making exceptional contributions across various fields.
This year, her efforts in mentorship, student sponsorship, and school infrastructure development earned her the accolade.
Notably, she has played a pivotal role in sponsoring students, constructing schools, and establishing the Dr. Ida Odinga Library and Resource Centre at Ogande Girls High School.

The Human Achievers Foundation will collaborate with Homa Bay County through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at women’s empowerment, skills development, and promoting children’s education in the region.
