According to a press statement issued by the DCI on Monday, February 24, investigators led by Sub-County Criminal Investigations Officer (SCCIO) Isinya, in collaboration with Crime Scene Investigators, meticulously secured and processed the scene.
Key evidence, including spent cartridges, was recovered for forensic analysis.
A specialized team from the National Forensic Laboratory, comprising ballistics, imaging, acoustics, and crime scene specialists, conducted a detailed examination of the evidence.
Investigators also reviewed CCTV footage and analysed additional materials collected from the scene.
Three firearms surrendered by suspects underwent ballistic testing, and eleven individuals recorded statements as part of the inquiry.
Upon completion of the investigation, SCCIO Isinya forwarded a comprehensive brief and recommendations to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) on February 2.
