NAIROBI, Kenya– Cybersecurity firm Sophos has announced that its Endpoint protection is now natively integrated into all Taegis Extended Detection and Response (XDR) and Managed Detection and Response (MDR) subscriptions.
The integration follows Sophos’ acquisition of Secureworks in February 2025, a move analysts say strengthens the company’s footprint in the enterprise cybersecurity space.
By combining Sophos Endpoint with Taegis, customers gain access to a unified platform that delivers prevention, detection, and response capabilities without the need to manage multiple tools.
“Integrating Sophos Endpoint with Taegis delivers a best-in-class unified protection, detection, investigation, and response platform while also reducing customer costs,” said Raja Patel, Chief Product Officer at Sophos.
“Too many organizations still treat endpoint protection like a commodity, and that’s exactly the mistake attackers are counting on. The reality is, not all endpoint products are built to stop today’s hands-on-keyboard attacks.”
Sophos said the integration is designed to lower licensing costs, reduce management overhead through native integration, and accelerate threat mitigation through expanded response actions.
Endpoint protection, according to cybersecurity experts, remains one of the most critical layers of defense, providing frontline prevention against ransomware, malware, and other advanced threats, as well as telemetry for detection and response.
Customers can continue using non-Sophos endpoint security solutions, with telemetry support for platforms such as CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender, SentinelOne, and Carbon Black by Broadcom.
This flexibility allows organizations to retain existing investments while benefiting from the combined capabilities of Taegis and Sophos Endpoint.
In a statement, the company said the integration “expands the value and flexibility we deliver to customers and partners. By including Sophos Endpoint in Taegis, organizations gain stronger protection, reduced costs and simplified operations. For partners, it creates new opportunities to help customers consolidate tools, drive renewals and expand enterprise relationships.”
According to the company, the move reflects a broader trend in cybersecurity toward consolidation and integration, as organizations seek to simplify operations while maintaining robust defenses against increasingly sophisticated cyber threats.
