TikTok and YouTube content creators Thee Summer Family have opened up about the losses they suffered after their home was flooded by heavy rainfall.
The couple, identified as Becky and Summer, posted a video showing water flooding key parts of their home during an intense rainy spell that affected large parts of Kenya earlier this week.
In the footage shared on their YouTube channel and cross‑posted to TikTok, the couple walks through knee‑high rain water inside their living room, attempting to clear floodwater as it pooled throughout the house.
Sofas, appliances and personal items were submerged, visibly damaged by the rising waters.
Summer is heard expressing frustration and uncertainty about the way forward, saying:
“Imeangusha kila kitu, imeharibu machine zote, sijui tutaanzia wapi.”
