Kisumu, Nakuru and Eldoret Join Protests Against Financial Bill 2024

Date:

NAIROBI, Kenya- The streets of Kisumu, Nakuru and Eldoret have become the latest battlegrounds in the fight against Kenya’s controversial Financial Bill 2024, as residents join protests against the proposed legislation.

What started in Nairobi has now spread its wings, with citizens from all walks of life uniting to reject what they see as unjust and burdensome tax measures.

Eldoret is the home city of Kenya’s President William Ruto.

“We are tired,” a resident of Eldoret town said.

The core grievances of the protestors remain consistent: they argue that the bill will only serve to deepen the economic hardships already faced by many Kenyans.

One of the most striking aspects of these protests is the diversity of the participants.
