NAIROBI, Kenya – President William Ruto has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to inclusive national development, saying the government is determined to lift Kenya from Third World status through transformative projects in every region.
The President spoke on Wednesday at State House Nairobi when he met a delegation of political, business, women, and grassroots leaders from Kitui County led by former Senator David Musila.
Ruto said his administration is “marshalling the support of all Kenyans” to implement programmes aimed at improving livelihoods and driving equitable growth across the country.
“Our programmes and policies are changing the lives and landscape of Kenya in many ways,” he said, adding that development would only be sustainable if all regions are part of the transformation agenda.

During the meeting, the President and the delegation discussed key projects underway in Kitui County, including the construction of roads, fresh produce markets, students’ hostels, affordable housing, and sustainable agriculture initiatives.
The talks come ahead of the Mashujaa Day celebrations set for later this month, where the government is expected to showcase progress in its key development priorities.
Ruto emphasized that the government will continue working with local leaders to ensure that infrastructure and economic opportunities reach all parts of the country.
