Moyale Police Arrest Key Human Trafficker Exploiting Kenyans

MOYALE, Kenya- Detectives at Moyale Police Station have arrested 33-year-old Festus Arasa Omwamba, a suspected key operator in a human trafficking syndicate.

Omwamba is alleged to have been involved in exploiting vulnerable individuals by promising legitimate employment opportunities in European countries, only for victims to end up in illegal and dangerous jobs, stripped of their safety and dignity.

He is currently in police custody, undergoing processing ahead of his forthcoming arraignment.

The arrest highlights the Directorate of Criminal Investigations’ (DCI) ongoing commitment to dismantling human trafficking networks and safeguarding potential victims. 

The operation was conducted through intelligence-led investigations and close collaboration with multiple agencies to ensure perpetrators are brought to justice.
