DCI Recognized by KRA for Excellence in Tax Enforcement and Recovery

NAIROBI, Kenya – The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has been recognized by the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) for its pivotal role in strengthening tax enforcement and recovery, earning the title of “Most Facilitative Government Agency” during the 2024 Taxpayers’ Day celebration at State House, Nairobi.

This annual event, organized by KRA, celebrates outstanding contributions across the tax landscape, spotlighting individuals and agencies committed to upholding the integrity of Kenya’s financial and tax systems.

The DCI’s recognition underscores the agency’s active involvement in combating tax-related offenses, ensuring revenue protection, and supporting the tax authority’s compliance objectives.

DCI Director Mohamed Amin accepted the award on behalf of the agency, describing it as a testament to the agency’s commitment to financial transparency and integrity.

“This recognition highlights the DCI’s ongoing efforts to strengthen tax enforcement and maintain integrity within the financial framework,” the agency stated.
