Pyypl and Visa Team Up to Bring Digital Payments to the Middle East and Africa

NAIROBI, Kenya- In a move set to change financial inclusion across the Middle East and Africa (MEA), fintech company Pyypl has announced a partnership with Visa to issue virtual and physical Visa cards directly through its mobile app. 

This collaboration marks a significant milestone in the journey to integrate millions of underserved smartphone users into the digital economy.

Pyypl’s announcement on Monday highlighted the strategic importance of this partnership. 

“With the support of local regulators, Pyypl is able to provide access to prepaid Visa cards in these markets, fast-tracking financial inclusion across the MEA region,” the company stated.

Antti Arponen, CEO and co-founder of Pyypl, expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership. 

“We are excited to announce our partnership with Visa. Our payments ecosystem has multiple benefits for Visa and will accelerate the provision of financial services to the vast population of underserved digital natives in the region,” said Arponen. 

By collaborating with Visa and local regulators, Pyypl aims to expand its presence and advance financial inclusion throughout the region.
