KAJIADO, Kenya — A Kajiado court has sentenced a middle-aged man to life imprisonment after he was found guilty of defiling an 11-year-old boy in a landmark case championed by the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
Principal Magistrate V. Kachuodho delivered the judgement, noting that the offence, which occurred in 2022, involved the accused luring the child from his home under false pretences before subjecting him to intimidation and sexual abuse.
The court described the act as “grave” and emphasized that the offender deliberately targeted a vulnerable child, making the crime deserving of the maximum sentence under the law.
