Passenger Dies After Medical Emergency on Kenya Airways Flight

LAGOS, Nigeria- A passenger died after falling unresponsive on a Kenya Airways flight from Nairobi to Lagos, the airline says.

The emergency occurred on Tuesday, October 6, at about 9.20pm Nigerian time, around 20 minutes before the aircraft was due to land, according to a Kenya Airways incident update issued on Wednesday.

The crew administered first aid and followed emergency procedures.

The aircraft landed at Murtala Muhammed International Airport at 9.41pm, where medical personnel examined the passenger and confirmed the death.

Kenya Airways did not disclose the passenger’s identity or the cause of death.

The airline said it was supporting the family in coordination with local authorities and aviation regulators, and expressed condolences to the passenger’s family and friends.
