Matiang’i Pledges Unity and Progress as Spokesperson for Gusii Community

Nairobi, Kenya- Jubilee Party presidential candidate Dr Fred Matiang’i has been installed as the spokesperson for the Gusii Community, in a ceremony held in Nyamira County.

Matiangi said he was ready for the role, saying he will now focus on uniting the community ahead fo 2027 General elections. 

 “This is more than a position—it is a call to leadership and a mandate to unite our people under a clear agenda of representation, empowerment, and transformative progress,” he said.

Dr Matiang’i expressed his commitment to ensuring that the Gusii Community remains organized and actively engaged in shaping its political and social future. 

He added, “Together, we rise, we organize, and we shape our political destiny.”

The ceremony was attended by opposition leaders, including Rigathi Gachagua, Eugene Wamlwa and Kalonzo Musyoka.
