Orengo Vows Kakamega Rally Will Go Ahead, Calls Momentum ‘Unstoppable’

Date:

KISUMU, Kenya- Siaya Governor James Orengo has confirmed that the planned rally in Kakamega and Vihiga scheduled for Saturday will proceed as planned, describing the energy behind the event as “a Tsunami” that cannot be stopped.

Speaking in Kisumu, Orengo expressed dissatisfaction with recent developments within the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), accusing unnamed “hostile forces” of undermining the party’s interests and threatening its unity.

“This thing is huge; it’s a Tsunami and unstoppable, no force on earth is going to stand in our way, so rest assured that this meeting is going to take place,” Orengo said.

He added that ODM members are concerned about the surrender of the party to interests contrary to its principles and members.

The rally is expected to draw significant attention from party supporters and political observers, as ODM navigates internal dynamics ahead of upcoming party and national engagements.
