NAIROBI, Kenya- Moses Wetang’ula has called on Members of Parliament to stand in solidarity with William Kamket following the death of his 13-year-old son, Bill Ballot Kassait Jnr.

“Today, I joined the family of Hon. William Kamket and Immaculate Kassait in mourning the sudden passing of their son,” he said.
Wetang’ula encouraged the family to draw strength from faith as they cope with the loss.
“Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him,” he added.
William Ruto also sent a message of condolence, describing the loss as heartbreaking.
“We extend our sincere condolences… It is deeply painful to lose a young life filled with promise and potential,” Ruto said.

Bill Ballot Kassait Jnr passed away at a hospital in Nairobi on Tuesday, March 17, after battling asthma.
Family sources said he developed breathing complications over the weekend and was placed on medication before his condition worsened.
Asthma is a chronic lung condition that causes airway inflammation, leading to breathing difficulties.
The boy’s unique name “Ballot” traces back to his mother’s role at the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission during the 2013 General Elections.
Leaders are expected to attend the burial on Monday as the family prepares to lay him to rest.
