This pioneering conference, scheduled from August 19 to 22, 2024, at the KEPHIS Headquarters in Nairobi, will bring together seed industry stakeholders from around the world to exchange knowledge, share achievements, and explore innovative solutions for seed quality enhancement.

Themed “Seed Quality Assurance and Technological Advances for Climate Change Adaptation towards Sustainable Food and Nutrition Security,” the conference will highlight the critical role of high-quality seeds in ensuring food security amidst the challenges posed by climate change.

Discussions will center on how seed actors can adapt to the changing climate to boost production and sustainability.

The event is a collaborative effort, organized in partnership with Agri Experience, the Centre of Phytosanitary Excellence (COPE), and the Government of Kenya.

This partnership underscores the importance of collective action in addressing global agricultural challenges.

Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions, attend informative sessions, and network with industry experts.

The conference aims to foster a deeper understanding of seed quality assurance and introduce cutting-edge technological advances that can help the agricultural sector adapt to climate change.

KEPHIS emphasized the importance of the conference in bridging knowledge gaps within the seed industry.

By providing a platform for seed actors to share their experiences and learn from each other, the event aims to elevate the standards of seed quality and production globally.
