NAIROBI, Kenya- Activist and political commentator Morara Kebaso has sparked widespread discussion online after firmly rejecting claims that he can be influenced by money, declaring that “KSh 50 million is a small amount” compared with his principles and independence.
The statement, which has circulated widely across social media platforms, has reignited conversations about political influence, activism funding, and the price of integrity in Kenya’s public discourse.
In a widely shared interview and social media clips, Kebaso dismissed suggestions that financial offers could compromise his work or silence his activism.
“Sh50 million is a small amount to me. Not in a bad way, but that’s not the kind of money that can be given to me and it influences me,” Morara said.
