MACHAKOS, Kenya — Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti Oduwole will on Tuesday, November 4th preside over the Machakos Youth Empowerment Program Graduation Ceremony, marking a major milestone in the county’s youth development agenda.
The event, scheduled to take place at the Whitehouse Grounds from 8:00 a.m., will celebrate hundreds of young people who have successfully completed training under the county’s flagship empowerment initiative.
Governor Ndeti said the ceremony symbolizes resilience and progress, noting that the program has equipped participants with practical skills and values essential for self-reliance and economic transformation.
“Tomorrow marks a proud milestone as we come together for the Machakos Youth Empowerment Program Graduation Ceremony. This event celebrates the journey of our youth who have embraced training, discipline, and determination to shape a brighter future,” she said in a statement.
The Machakos Youth Empowerment Program focuses on equipping young people with vocational, entrepreneurial, and life skills to enable them to compete effectively in the job market and engage in sustainable self-employment.
Since its inception, the program has supported thousands of youth across the county, fostering innovation, community service, and civic participation.
Governor Ndeti has previously emphasized that empowering young people remains central to her administration’s broader vision of inclusive development and social transformation.
The graduation ceremony is expected to draw county officials, development partners, and private-sector representatives who have supported the program through mentorship and resource mobilization.
