NAIROBI, Kenya — President William Ruto has met with China Communications Construction Company (CCCC) President Zhang Bingman at State House, Nairobi, to discuss the upcoming dualization of the Rironi–Naivasha–Mau Summit Road.
The project will be undertaken by CCCC’s subsidiary, the China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC), which has already completed several major infrastructure works in Kenya, including sections of the Standard Gauge Railway and major highways.
The meeting marks a key step in advancing work on the strategic corridor that links Nairobi to western Kenya and the Great Lakes region.
The dualling is expected to ease congestion, cut travel time, and support regional trade.
Government officials say the project will also improve road safety along the busy stretch, which has recorded high traffic volumes and frequent accidents over the years.
Further details on timelines, financing arrangements, and construction phases are expected to be released by the Ministry of Roads and Transport in the coming weeks.
