NAIROBI, Kenya – Former President Uhuru Kenyatta has joined world leaders and Catholic faithful in mourning the passing of Pope Francis, who died on Easter Monday, April 21, 2025, at the age of 88.

“The Pope encouraged Kenyans to portray the true image of God who cherishes peace, harmony, and love amongst mankind,” Kenyatta added.
