Date:

LAIKIPIA, Kenya- In response to the housing crisis within the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF), Defence Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale has commissioned the construction of 788 new housing units in the Kwa Mbuzi area of Laikipia County.

This project is part of a broader initiative to alleviate the acute housing deficit faced by KDF personnel.

The KDF currently grapples with a substantial shortfall, needing 33,400 married quarters and 25,800 single quarters.

Duale highlighted that the new housing units will substantially alleviate this deficit.

“The government is committed to providing suitable housing for our soldiers and their families,” he stated.
