East Africa Impact Investment Summit in Nairobi Draws 300 Investors

NAIROBI, Kenya- Transformational Business Network (TBN) East Africa has hosted its fourth East Africa Impact Investment Summit in Nairobi, drawing a crowd of 300 guests.

Focused on the theme “Enabling Business Growth Through Access to Finance,” the summit provided a platform for dynamic discussions and networking among entrepreneurs and investors.

Since its inception in 2017, TBN East Africa has been a driving force in empowering over 600 entrepreneurs through its six-month “Scale For Success” Acceleration Program. 

This initiative has prepared businesses to be bankable and investor-ready, mobilizing over USD 20 million in capital and creating more than 5,000 jobs across the region.

The summit brought together a diverse group of local and international impact and angel investors, along with successful and high-potential East African entrepreneurs. 

Key organizations driving transformation within the entrepreneurial ecosystem also participated, enhancing the collaborative spirit of the event.

Over the past seven years, TBN East Africa has established robust partnerships with various ecosystem players, including foundations, family offices, commercial banks, and Development Finance Institutions. 

Notable among these partners are the African Development Bank, African Guarantee Fund, The Argidius Foundation, and The John Templeton Foundation. 

These partnerships have been instrumental in fostering a supportive environment for entrepreneurs.

The summit featured insightful panel discussions, workshops, and networking sessions, allowing attendees to explore opportunities for collaboration. 

The presence of TBN’s extensive investor network further amplified the potential for meaningful connections and investments.

The East Africa Impact Investment Summit underscored the importance of access to finance in driving business growth. 

By bringing together entrepreneurs and investors, the summit created a conducive environment for discussing challenges and opportunities within the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
