NAIROBI, Kenya – Felix Osano has been named the new Chief Executive Officer of The Nairobi Hospital, taking over the reins from James Nyamongo, who exited the role in December 2024.
In a statement on Friday, Kenya Hospital Association (KHA) chairman Dr. Barcley Onyambu said the hospital’s board had full confidence in Osano’s capacity to lead, citing his extensive experience and strategic vision.
“With over 17 years of professional experience in healthcare investments and leadership across Africa and Asia, Osano is well-positioned to guide Nairobi Hospital into a new era of innovation and patient-centered care,” the statement read.
Osano, who has served in an acting capacity since last year, brings a wealth of experience from both the healthcare and fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sectors. His career includes roles in global private equity, supply chain leadership, and healthcare operations.
A certified procurement and quality management expert, Osano is a member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS-UK), a Certified International Procurement Professional (CIPP), and a Certified Six Sigma practitioner.
Academically, he is pursuing a Doctorate in Strategic Management and holds an MBA in Global Business Management from USIU-Africa.
He also holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Daystar University and completed an Executive Leadership Programme in Supply Chain Transformation at Strathmore University.
