KQ Flights Delayed 2–3 Hours at JKIA as Airport Disruption Continues

Date:

NAIROBI, Kenya- Kenya Airways has confirmed that flights departing from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) are currently facing delays of between two and three hours due to ongoing air traffic control challenges.

The national carrier said it is working with aviation authorities and other airport stakeholders to minimise disruption and maintain safe operations.

KQ apologised to affected passengers and advised travellers to contact its customer service team for the latest updates on their flights.

The disruption comes as the Kenya Airports Authority has also warned passengers of delays affecting some departing flights at Kenyan airports.

Passengers have been advised to remain patient and check with Kenya Airways for the latest information regarding their individual flights.

The delays come after the Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) issued a separate advisory warning that some departing flights at Kenyan airports were experiencing delays.

KAA urged passengers to contact their respective airlines for updated flight information and to plan their journeys accordingly.

The latest disruption has left some travellers facing extended waiting times at JKIA, with passengers urged to confirm their flight status before heading to the airport.

The situation remains ongoing as aviation stakeholders work to address the delays.
