NAIROBI, Kenya: The world is reeling from the unfortunate events that have turned out to be the life of P. Diddy. The sad events are inspiring comedies and humor that almost borders on sad, if not dark.
Along its trail, there are traces of uncertainty and fear. Heart breaking revelations and conspicuous quietness from some. Between crazy amounts of denied bail, a suicide watch, and very questionable amounts of baby oil bottles, something about this whole situation leaves more to be desired from the influential and prominent.
Closer home in kenya, almost similar situations are said to be playing out behind the glamour that is showbiz. A gatekept industry that frustrates the up-and-coming in Handouts to those already in the system and the need to ‘know someone’ who has already made it in showbiz and some more ills spoken in whispers are just a few of the rot in the system.
As one grows up, there’s a very high chance they learn of how flawed the world You may even normalize some of the flaws as things one has to do to move ahead in life. We have normalized some grotesque behavior to accommodate outright bad manners, and we learn to live such and even joke about it.
There is a guise in charity and philanthropy that whitewashes the bad man and sells a picture-perfect being to the most unsuspecting. We’ve seen it with philanthropists, Charity organizations, churches, Celebrities, politicians, conglomerates, High Net Worth Individuals and the ever so meek Non Governmental Organizations.
From our very own policymakers being held to account, something that really pisses them off, the type of R. Kelly case and now P.Diddy something is really not sitting pretty anymore.
While a lot more keeps seeing the light of day, what we can be certain of is something else will be in the offing as soon as the dust settles, and as always, it’s never an enigma.
